Vietnamese Product Week launched in Hanoi

A programme promoting Vietnamese products was launched at the Thanh Tri District’s Sports Centre in Hanoi on October 6.

The fair has 40 booths from 28 businesses and producers, introducing quality locally produced essential commodities including food, beverages, confectioneries, cosmetics, clothes, footwear, houseware, handicrafts and local specialties, at reasonable prices.

According to Tran Thi Phuong Lan, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade, Hanoi has organsised many wide-ranging programmes, including those aiming to stablilise essential commodities’ prices, promoting regional linkages and trade ties between Hanoi and other cities and provinces, as well as bringing Vietnamese products to rural areas, processing and industrial zones. The programmes have brought good results, contributing to curbing price hikes, controlling inflation and reducing the consumer price index.

The Department has also effectively supported businesses in other cities and provinces to supply goods with defined origins and good quality at reasonable prices to consumers, contributing to stabilising the market and ensuring social welfare, she added./.
