Vietnam International Motor Show 2017 officially kicks off

This year, VIMS has impressed visitors with a vast diversity as 13 world leading brands including Audi, DFM, Jaguar, Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz, SsangYong, Subaru, Volkswagen, Volvo, Harley-Davidson, Triumph, Royal Enfield and Tam Son Yachting in the area of up to 10,000m² to exhibit more than 100 models of imported cars, motorbikes and luxury yachts. Not only bringing interesting signature stories, each brand has revealed the latest information, state-of-the-art technology and especially flagship models that call for attention from car enthusiasts nationwide.

Attending the opening day of VIMS 2017, Mr Tran Vinh Tuyen, Vice Chairman of The Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, said: “The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee highly appreciates the Organizing Board which has actively cooperated with related partners to continue organizing a significant international automobile exhibition in the city. I believe that this event will contribute positively to the automobile manufacturing and business plan in Vietnam, setting good condition for consumers to choose their optimal means of transport. I also have confidence that events such as VIMS will not only meet the demand of consumers better, but also promise to be a reputable platform for Vietnam automobile importers and manufacturers in exchanging, seeking opportunities for cooperation and development.”

Within the scope of VIMS 2017, a Seminar on “Today driving in Vietnam” was held. The Seminar brought together a number of experts and professionals in Economy and Culture, representatives from media agencies as well as the public to discuss and share their points of view about one of the most concerned issue currently.

Within 5 days of VIMS 2017, alongside 13 world-famous cars, motorcycles and yachting brands are reputable brands of supporting industry such as: GMD – Dcar, Minh Giang; Hoan Xa – Cartar Lifts garage equipment; Motul, Anglomoil, Rheinoi; SunTek, Wincos automotive film; Brila, Nhan Hoa, H2 Decal; Lotus, Michelin, Philip, Osram; Camera Poraloid, Vietmap; along with insurance companies and banks such as SeABank, Citibank, VietinBank,… and Samsung with leading technology products. VIMS 2017 has opened for the public from 18:30 to 20:00 on 25th October 2017, and from 09:00 to 20:00 from 26th to 29th October 2017.
