Vietnam International Motor show 2016 officially kicks off

In this year’s event, aside from exciting performances and interactive activities via brand-new technologies, the public can explore more than 150 high-end models from 16 world leading car brands. At the booths characterized with unique styles and concepts, representatives of exhibitors also present the latest information, the flagship car models, as well as state-of-the-art technology that they bring to VIMS 2016.

This is the first time an international motor show in Vietnam brings together 16 famous automobile brands, including Audi, Bentley, BMW, BMW Motorrad, Infiniti, Lamborghini, Maserati, Mercedes-Benz, MINI, Nissan, Porsche, Renault, Subaru, Suzuki, UD Trucks, and Volkswagen.

Together with many famous brand names in the automotive sector such as DCAR, Motul Lubricants, Exxon Mobil, Eni, Rheinol, etc., there are hundreds of booths for the supporting industry, including car technology and services of Ceramic Pro and Itsuwa, Minh Giang car accessories, Anxen lights, Nhan Hoa paints, Thanh Oris sound system, Viet map, Journey Camera HP, etc. Besides, banking and financial services from Vietinbank, Standard Chartered Bank, City Bank, HSBC, Shinhan Bank, HD Bank, VietBank, Bao Long, Jaccs Co., Ltd. ... have been presented to meet the demand for car purchase and insurance.

At the exhibition booth with the highest global-standard design, Mercedes-Benz presents to Vietnam leading car models such as: The new E-Class – Masterpiece of Intelligence and Cutting edge Interior design, Mercedes SLC 43 AMG – “Dream car”, a cabriolet with robust engine and energetic design, CLA 200 facelift – A sporty coupe-like sedan equipped with a variety of safety technologies.

In the space with a modern and strong style, Lamborghini – one of the most respected and desired sports car manufacturers in the world - appear prominently in VIMS 2016 with leading car models including Huracan LP 580-2 with Sport mode and advanced suspension system that provide customer better driving experience, and Huracan LP 610-4.

The highlight of the INFINITI booth at the Exhibition is the exclusive preview of INFINITI Q60 – a recently launched premium sports coupe at Paris Motor Show 2016 that combines expressive design with exhilarating performance and dynamics, reinforced by an advanced all-new 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo engine. The QX70 – iconic performance crossover is unveiled with a new front fascia, dynamic styling. The 7-seater QX80 is designed to make an epic statement, a powerful showcase that befits the scale of your ambition.

Delicate, elegant is the style that Maserati has chosen when coming to the exhibition. Maserati reconstructs a part of Italian culture through the "masterpieces" based on the glorious heritage of more than 100 years that define the segment of luxury Italian-style sports cars. Along with leading technologies such as premium sound systems Bowers & Wilkins or Harman Kardon, many of Maserati masterpieces are impressively displayed at VIMS: Quattroporte 2017 – luxury sports saloon segment, Maserati’s flagship model; Ghibli – stylish, youthful and dynamic; GranTurismo – a truly supercar on street; Levante – 100% Maserati and 100% SUV.

Along with the launch of All-new Nissan X-Trail in September 2016, Nissan brings to VIMS 2016 their outstanding models with Navara, Sunny and Teana. Nissan is a prestigious global Japanese automobile brand & delivers a comprehensive range of more than 60 models under the Nissan, Infiniti and Datsun brands.

Combining Unique French lifestyle with worldwide signature, Renault brings in VIMS 2016 a living experience of a real Parisian with the outstanding Talisman. The exhibitor also introduces at VIMS 2016 prominent technologies like Multi-sense – the promise of intense driving pleasure courtesy, providing four selected senses: Comfort, Sport, Eco and Neutral, plus a fully configurable of the Perso mode.

Coming to Subaru booth at the exhibition, visitors will have a look many impressive car models: All-New WRX STI – all-new design that harmonizes in every detail, Outback 2.5 i-S – A good choice for a family, Forester 2.0 XT – a higher level of driving experience and versatility combined with innovative safety features, Levorg 1.6 GT-S – “A rally car for daily life”, XV 2.0 i-S.

Vietnam Suzuki officially introduces to the market a new Sedan model named Ciaz – “Authentic sedan” at VIMS 2016. Alongside Ciaz, Suzuki has displayed its 4 product lines to Vietnamese consumers with the theme “More for Less” including Vitara “All Grip” – Bold style, bold success – a Compact SUV with all grip technology, Swift – Simple yet beautiful – with the new version Swift RS creating personalized and youthful style, Ertiga – 7-seat car for family – outstanding with spacious interior space and a flexible usage.

Introducing to the Vietnam market the first and only tractor with 6x2 axle configuration, with Bogie lift (liftable axle), UD Trucks displays two flagship models at VIMS 2016: QUESTER – Tractor 6x4 8L engine, 330 HP, Euro 3, with roof and side deflectors and QUESTER – Tractor 6x2 8L engine 330 HP, Euro 3, bogie lift, sleeper cab.

At VIMS 2016, Volkswagen is directed to simple and delicate image with Beetle – The iconic of style, Scirocco – Sleeker, sportier and more dynamic, Sharan – Spacious, convenient and luxurious comfort with every journey, Jetta – Elegant touch of comfort, Passat – Midsize Car – Family Size Fun, Polo – Small but tough, Tiguan – Cool & Calm, Touareg – Powerful 4x4 with luxury as standard.

An interesting difference of this year’s event is the participation of vintage cars right in the middle of the exhibition room. On a total area of nearly 500m², these cars are arranged in the theme of old Saigon, creating an exceptional display space. With the appearance of historic car models like the 1886 Benz Patent-Motorwagen (replica), the 1971 Citroën Méhari once used in the internationally famous movie L’amant, or the Renault Floride, etc.

Among them is the UAZ (Ulyanovsky Avtomobilny Zavod) – a popular Russian car brand with outstanding quality, design and totally new features. Also, PEUGEOT Scooters is taking the opportunity of VIMS 2016 to launch in Vietnam with exciting models that are also to be won during the lucky draw and with a World Premiere on its booth.
