The electricity approach index of Vietnam increases 22 ranks

The WB Doing Business (DB) Team has just announced the results of assessing the competitive ability indexes of 189 economies in the world in 2015, including the electricity approach index.

The result of the electricity approach index of Vietnam increasing 22 ranks and standing on 108th /189 place, was assessed on basic of improvement of the two factors as approach duration and implementation costs.

According to DB, the electricity approach index is the best changing one from 10 indexes on business environment in Vietnam. The changes of Vietnam power sector were also recorded by DB in a list of 19 countries with the effective improvement of the electricity approach process.

The synchronous and drastic solutions of EVN in abridging relevant time and procedures contributed to improving the electricity approach index for medium voltage customers.

As the DB’ report, the time for implementation of electricity approach in Vietnam is 59 days (including the procedures of EVN and relevant functional agencies), better than in Indonesia, Timor-Leste, Cambodia, Myanmar, Lao PDR.

The good results on improvement of electricity approach index recorded by DB have proved incessant efforts of EVN in improving business, services for customers in general and for medium voltage connection customers in particular.

In coming time, EVN will continue the efforts to improve the electricity approach index, customer service quality and power supply reliability to increase the competitiveness of the economy and serve the needs of customers and society more and more better./.
