Thai Binh gives industry promotion example

(VEN) - Thanks to perfecting its industry promotion regulations and system, Thai Binh Province has successfully implemented a variety of industry promotion projects.

According to Director of the Thai Binh Industry Promotion Center Ha Van Hai, Decision 45/2012/ND-CP on industry promotion and Joint Circular 26/2014/-TTLT-BTC-BCT on the use and management of the national and local industry promotion funding have practically improved local industry promotion programs, especially in terms of funding, benefits, time and costs.

The Thai Binh Province People’s Committee and the Department of Industry and Trade have developed provincial industry promotion regulations and incentives with a view to facilitating the implementation of industry promotion projects based on the national industry promotion policies, regularly hosting training for local industry promotion staff and closely monitoring the deployment of industry promotion projects.

The Thai Binh Industry Promotion Center has set up an industry promotion information database based on local industrial development demands, and has listed local beneficiaries from industry promotion projects, said Ha Van Hai.

Thanks to its determined efforts, Thai Binh has successfully supported local industrial facilities to develop traditional craft products, while creating more jobs for local workers.

Ha Van Hai also said that more funding improvements would be needed to further promote provincial industry promotion projects and attract more local industrial facilities to join industry promotion, while intensive industry promotion training should be available for industry promotion staff at all levels.

Deputy Director of the Agency for Regional Industry Development (ARID) Nguyen Hong Phong appreciated Thai Binh’s success in industry promotion project implementation and the establishment of legal and structural industry promotion systems. “Other localities should learn about Thai Binh’s experience in perfecting industry promotion systems, monitoring industrial facilities and beneficiaries and preparing quality industry promotion projects,” he said.

The ARID annually organizes training courses on legal industry promotion documents and is ready to provide these courses on demand to help in the settlement of difficulties with local industry promotion projects.

The ARID plans to host training in the north and the south and interested localities are welcome to contact the agency. The agency will prepare the training programs based on demand, Nguyen Hong Phong said.
