(VEN) - Two exhibitions that opened simultaneously in Ho Chi Minh City on June 6 are showcasing the latest telecom and film technologies, products and services.

Telcom, telefilm expos open in Ho Chi Minh City

The International Exhibition of Products, Telecommunications Services, Information Technology & Communications - VIETNAM ICTCOMM and the International exhibition of Film and Television Technology - TELEFILM 2019 are annual events hosted and sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Information & Communication.

This year the expos have attracted the participation of more than 450 businesses from 25 countries and territories.

The ICTCOMM exhibition presents the latest telecommunications products and services, information and communication technologies including broadcasting technology, software solutions, cables, decoding technology, 4G-LTE high speed internet, big data, AI, IoT, as well as solutions to support economic organizations and e-government.

The TELEFILM exhibition is an opportunity for local film producers to exchange and learn new developments, access film and television technology 4.0, update themselves with the latest TV trends and devices. They can also meet potential partners, buying and selling television rights. In particular, this year's exhibition has the presence of Vietnamese startups, through support programs from the Ministry of Science and Technology.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Hoang Vinh Bao, Deputy Minister of Information & Communications, said that the events were “not only a trade bridge to help create and maintain the sustainable cooperation between domestic and international enterprises, but also an important technology exchange forum, bringing opportunities to share and exchange advanced technologies with international friends in telecommunications, information technology and broadcasting. "

Several seminars on highly current topics are part of the expos, including: Transition of broadcasting in a digital era; Technology Security - Strategic trends in 2019; Application of AI and Blockchain Technology in market connection and online payment; Shaping the future - smart start-ups in the technology era 4.0.

The event also provides trade connection services, connecting domestic and international business to expand cooperation and development. The organizers created a connection channel before the exhibition to promote convenient and effective exchanges.

The VIETNAM ICTCOMM and TELEFIM 2019, held at the SECC in district 7, will close on June 8.
