(VEN) - The series of Grand Opening Ceremonies will officially mark the debut of the Sun Life Vietnam brand to the general public, following Sun Life Financial Inc. acquired the remaining 25% charter capital of PVI Sun Life Insurance Company Limited from PVI Holdings after receiving regulatory approval on Nov. 7^th, 2016.

Sun Life Vietnam launched a series of Grand Opening Ceremonies combined with its Distribution Kick-off events this month in major cities throughout Vietnam. The events will take place in Ha Noi on Jan. 12^th, in Nha Trang on Jan. 14^th and in Da Nang on Jan. 15^th, ( in Ho Chi Minh City on Jan. 11^th).

According to Mr. Roger Steel, President, New Markets and Business Development, Sun Life Financial Asia, this acquisition means that Sun Life Vietnam is now 100% owned by Sun Life Financial Inc., a leading international financial services organization, and gives Sun Life Financial Inc. further access to the Vietnam market.

Since it launched in 2013, Sun Life Vietnam has already established itself as a market leader and industry pioneer in pensions, and the complete ownership will only add to Sun Life’s continued momentum in Vietnam.
