(VEN) - The PetroVietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV Gas) is looking forward to the 29th anniversary of its establishment by organizing a series of practical activities.

Providing VND450 million for people in flood-affected central areas

In the last days of August and early September, central provinces suffered significant losses due to consecutive storms causing devastating floods. Thousand hectares of summer-autumn rice and farm produce and many aquaculture areas were submerged by flood water, while irrigation canals and dams were damaged. Thousand houses were flooded, while cattle and poultry were swept away.

PV Gas cooperated with the PetroVietnam Northern Gas Joint Stock Company to organize a visit and provide support for people in flood-affected areas, including Ha Tinh Province’s Huong Khe District, Quang Binh Province’s Minh Hoa District, and Quang Tri Province’s Huong Hoa District.

Trade Union officials of PV Gas and its member unit went to difficult families of small size, visited remote ethnic villages, and met local officials and people. They donated money to rebuild infrastructure, as well as money and rice to flood-affected households. Total amount of money for three localities reached VND450 million.

CNG Vietnam JSC energizes the 2019-2020 school year

Being aware of the role and importance in promoting corporate social responsibility, the CNG Vietnam Joint Stock Company has been actively implementing many social security programs. “Tiep Suc Den Truong” (Giving strengths to students) has become a meaningful annual activity, bringing great encouragement for students before the new school year.

The Youth Union of CNG Vietnam Joint Stock Company in collaboration with the Youth Union of Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province have donated nearly 1,000 books and bookcases to numerous schools, including Nguyen Hue Secondary School and Vo Truong Toan Secondary School in Chau Duc District, and Quang Trung Secondary School and Hoa Hiep Secondary School in Xuyen Moc District.

The program has selected famous books in the fields of science, literature, art, history, psychology and sex education suitable with the age of students.

The Youth Union of CNG Vietnam Joint Stock Company has presented 20 gifts and 20 scholarships to students with difficult circumstances in Quang Trung Secondary School and Hoa Hiep Secondary School in Xuyen Moc District.

The Youth Union and Trade Union of CNG Vietnam Joint Stock Company has also presented 40 scholarships and gifts to 40 excellent students in Phan Dinh Phung Primary School in Song Xoai Commune, and Ly Thuong Kiet Primary School in Phuoc Hoa Commune.

CNG Vietnam Joint Stock Company wishes to contribute to promoting the spirit of curiosity and talent nurturing for the younger generation.

PV Gas Vung Tau presents 100 gifts to students

“Tiep Suc Den Truong” is one of the key activities in the social security policy of PV Gas in general and the PetroVietnam Gas Vung Tau Processing Company (PV Gas Vung Tau) in particular. The program is implemented annually with the desire to share difficulties and provide better learning conditions for students.

The Youth Union of PV Gas Vung Tau has presented 100 gifts with total value of VND100 million to students in four schools, including Cao Van Ngoc Primary School and Pham Huu Chi Secondary School in Long Dien District’s An Ngai Commune in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province, Phuoc Thai Primary School in Dong Nai Province’s Long Thanh District, and Thang Nhi Secondary School in Vung Tau City.
