Scholarship opportunity at New Zealand Education Fairs 2023

Education New Zealand (ENZ) and Eduvina Limited Company will co-host the New Zealand Education Fairs in April 2023, with the participation of nearly 40 institutions from New Zealand.

The education fairs will be hosted on April 1st, 2023 in Ho Chi Minh City and on April 2nd, 2023 in Hanoi.

The fair will bring nearly 40 New Zealand institutions at various levels of education, from secondary school to university and doctoral level. Visitors to the fair will have one-on-one consultations with school representatives who are directors of international department, regional bodies, and representatives from New Zealand universities (all New Zealand universities are ranked in Top 2% of the world), the New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology Te Pūkenga, and vocational institutions in tourism, hospitality, and aviation schools. The consulting sessions are expected to provide parents and students with overall and most updated information so that they can make the suitable choice for their studies in New Zealand.

At the same time as the consulting activity, there will be a series of workshops providing students and parents with updated information about visa policies, tips for studying abroad in New Zealand, tips for studying and practicing IELTS from speaker Dang Tran Tung, an English teacher achieved IELTS score of 9.0 for five times; sharing about PTE (Pearson Test of English) from representative of PTE Academic - Pearson Vietnam; and a Q&A session about studying abroad in New Zealand from Eduvina. These fair will also feature the participation of a representative from Palmerston North City Council, Education New Zealand (ENZ) and Immigration New Zealand.

Ben Burrowes, Regional Director, Asia at Education New Zealand (ENZ), said, "The very positive response from parents and students following the opening of our borders has confirmed our belief that there remains strong interest in Vietnam about studying in New Zealand. A key aspect of a New Zealand education is the attention we place on developing students’ ability to think critically, creatively, and collaboratively. We focus on how to be pragmatic and practical, to put their knowledge to work in the world, and prepare them for work environments where an ability to work flexibly in teams helps them achieve their full potential.”

In addition to the Education Fairs, New Zealand is offering many attractive opportunities for Vietnamese students, including the relaunch of two government scholarship programs: Manaaki New Zealand Scholarships for postgraduate students and New Zealand Schools Scholarships (NZSS) for secondary students.

As of the end of 2021, Vietnam ranked fourth in the number of students studying at New Zealand schools, universities, and institutions, with half of them being university students.
