Russian Energy Minister visits and works at Vietsovpetro

In the framework of the official visit to Vietnam of the Russian Prime Minister Medvedev, Russian Energy Minister Novak Alexander Valentinovich; CEO of Zarubezef (ZBN) Kudriasov Sergei Ivanovich visited and worked with Vietsovpetro (VSP).

Water injection platform of CTK-3

On 5th April morning, the Russian Energy Minister and CEO of ZBN visited the central technology platform CTK-3 of VSP. PetroVietNam President & CEO Nguyen Quoc Khanh, Vice President Nguyen Vu Truong Son, VSP General Director Tu Thanh Nghia and some leaders of VSP went with the working group.

At CTK-3 platform, VSP General Director Tu Thanh Nghia introduced to the Russian working group the establishment history and development of CTK-3 platform.

CTK-3 is the largest technology platform of VSP and the Southeast Asia as well. The platform consists of a platform for processing crude oil into oil commodities with maximum capacity of 18 thousand tons/day, meeting standards on safety and environmental hygiene and processing up to 3 million m3 gas per day to take to the central compression platform and then to the land for power, fertilizer plants in Vung Tau, Dong Nai;

Water injection platform with a capacity of 30 thousand m3/day; torch and houses for 140 people. The platform was officially put into operation since February 2004, and since then no labor non-safety has happened. It sets the record for safety on a technology platform of not only Vietnam but also the world.

Currently, CTK-3 is getting oil from 6 wellhead platforms (BK) and it operates, receives and processes product from the wellhead platform BK-CNV of Ca Ngu Vang field, Hoang Long - Hoan Vu JOC. It processes nearly 7,000 tons of oil and brings more than one million cubic meters of gas to the land a day.

Vietnamese and Russian officers, employees on the platform always show the solidarity, attachment and harmony. Especially, Mr. Nicolai Babelov Detp who has worked for VSP since 1991 to date with more than 10 years working as Vice Head of CTK-3 platform, has been the awarded the Medal of Friendship by the Government of Vietnam and the “typical petroleum worker” title by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The Russian Energy Minister expressed his pleasure at the achievements of CTK-3 in the past 10 years and hoped that Vietnamese – Russian employees on the platform would join together to overcome difficulties for the most effective work.
