NS BlueScope hosted “Run for Green” for Long Son Community

In a response to the World Environment Day (June 5^th 2018), NS BlueScope Vietnam engaged the Company’s staff and staff’s kids in the meaningful campaign of “Run for Green” with a view to raising scholarship fund for the poor pupils of Long Son Commune (Ba Ria – Vung Tau).

NS BlueScope hosted “Run for Green” for Long Son Community

“Run for Green” is a manifestation of NS BlueScope Vietnam’s ongoing efforts to contribute to the development of Vietnam’s community

The program called for the participation of nearly 200 NS BlueScope Vietnam’s members and more than 50 local teachers and pupils. The two-kilometer run ended in an over-60-million-VND fund raised and 20 scholarships with gifts valued at 3 million VND each were awarded to Long Son’s needy pupils.

We are committed to the efficient use of resources, preventing pollution and reducing environmental impact of our operations and products. “Run for Green” is under our unwavering commitment to Vietnam’s market for decades and it is a manifestation of our ongoing efforts to contribute to the development of Vietnam’s community,” highlighted Mr. Vo Minh Nhut, NS BlueScope Vietnam’s Country President.

Tree planting activities to create a greener school environment were also implemented in the program

The program embraced other environment protection activities including tree planting for a greener surrounding at Long Son Commune Primary School or the stimulating three-round environment protection competition to encourage the environmental awareness of both NS BlueScope Vietnam’s staff and local community, inspiring them to protect environment and vividly conveying the program message of “Save environment to Save future”.
