Could you brief introduce MISUMI Vietnam Co.,Ltd ? What is you strategy in Vietnam?

MISUMI is a “one-stop solution provider” to various manufacturing needs. We are proud to be the leading manufacturer and distributor of standard components for Factory Automation, Press die and Plastic Mold. Furthermore, we have expanded our range into electronics, tools, and maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) consumables. Together, we supply more than 10 million quality products to our customers worldwide.

To meet the growing demand for MISUMI products in the region, MISUMI Vietnam Co.,Ltd was established in Vietnam in July 2016. This has enabled us to provide better services to all our valued customers in Vietnam, enabling customers to enjoy shortened lead time in receiving their products for design/machine assembly/maintenance.

At MISUMI, we support manufacturing operations by delivering the value of high quality (Quality), low costs (Cost) and reliably short delivery times (Time). We strive for continuous improvement of our products and services to better cater to customer needs.

In Vietnam, FDI(Foreign Direct investment) especially in such area as mobile phone, electrical machinery, or electronics manufacturing is still growing. MISUMI Vietnam target to capture customer needs in those industries, especially focusing on Japanese and Korean companies by leveraging our existing business relationship in Japan and Korea.

In longer term, we also aim to penetrate our business into Vietnam local manufacturing companies including SMEs(small- and medium-sized enterprises). I believe MISUMI Vietnam can contribute to further development of supporting industries in Vietnam by providing various high quality products in short and accurate time, with transparent/reasonable price, and with very convenient purchasing experiences.

What is your perspective about industrial production and trade in Vietnam, especially in field of Factory Automation?

I believe that the demand of Factory Automation will increase drastically in coming 10 years. 2 factors support this prospective.

One factor is that FDI(Foreign Direct investment) still keeps good level. In 2016, it reached to USD 15.6billion, and what the favorable for us is large amount is contributed by major manufacturers such as mobile phone, electrical machinery, or electronics manufacturing.

Another is the raise of labor cost in Vietnam. Labor cost increase 7-10% every year in Vietnam. and it affects overall management a lot especially for the company which is exposed to the global competition. Actually, many corporate executives and managers mention that one of top management issues is “cost down”, “localization”, and “automation”.

Those 2 factors support that we are at close to the end of dawn of the Factory Automation and the demand will rapidly increase in coming 10 years.

Could you share with us your point of view about the currently effects and trends of investment, including to the opportunities of Vietnam manufacturing industry in ASEAN region and global market after many agreements have been set up, in order to serve the demand of high-quality production?

Good or bad, we cannot avoid global competition any longer. Thus I believe any company should respond to the global competition faster and better. Here in Vietnam there is no exception.

I believe that MISUMI Vietnam can be a “platform” for Vietnam manufacturing industry, not only for search or purchase of products, but also for latest technical, techolocial information center as we gather opinions and inquiries from many engineers and designers worldwide.

What is your idea plan of attending Vietnam Manufacturing Expo 2017? What are key products which MISUMI Vietnam Co.,Ltd. will present at Vietnam Manufacturing Expo 2017 and its highlights?

“Vietnam Manufacturing Expo 2017” is great opportunity for us to increase awareness of Misumi Vietnam among Vietnam manufacturers.

We would like to appeal 3 points during Expo; 1. MISUMI Vietnam offer more than 3 million components. Customers can search, compare, quote, and puchase the best item from variety of product line. 2. MISUMI Vietnam provide product from one piece without shipping charge, and delivery time is short and accurate. 3. MISUMI Vietnam provide many convenience service to customer. - Examples are our e-catalog, WOS(Web Ordering System) and download CAD data(2D/3D). If customers are using our services can be done quotation and order easily and expedite for drawing.

Our representative products are; FA products which include: Ball Bearing, Linear Guide, Shaft and Bushing, Aluminum Frame. etc. PRESS and MOLD products which include: Punch and E-pin, Gas and Coil spring. etc.
