(VEN) - Hung Yen Province has created favorable conditions for the business community and entrepreneurs to boost production and trade, significantly contributing to the locality’s socioeconomic development.

Accelerating administrative reform

The province has accelerated administrative reform to improve its provincial competitiveness index, while applying incentive policies to attract investors.

Trinh Van Dien, Director of the provincial Department of Planning and Investment, said that along with efforts to improve the investment and business environment, local authorities have maintained effective coordination in dealing with problems facing investors.

The department tightly coordinates with provincial tax and public security officials to facilitate the granting of business registration certificates, tax codes and company seal registration.

Hung Yen Province appreciates the important role of investors in the local economy and considers their success as its own. While attracting investment, the province pays attention to quality projects that are suitable to the actual conditions of the locality, rather than focusing on the number of projects.

“E-office software is being used at the headquarters of the provincial People’s Committee and its member units as well as the People’s Committees of wards and communes,” Dien said.

Hung Yen has attracted investment projects in engineering, production and assembly of electrical and electronic components, food processing, textiles and garments, and support industries for the automotive and textile-garment industries.

Boosting investment attraction

Identifying industry as a major sector of the provincial economy, the Hung Yen Department of Planning and Investment will continue to intensify investment attraction in industrial development. The list of projects seeking investment will be adjusted according to the level of priority and incentive policies. Hung Yen encourages investment in the construction of infrastructure for IPs as well as environmentally friendly, high technology-based investment projects which contribute significantly to the local budget.

“The department will support and encourage scientific research, technology transfer and the application of advanced machinery and equipment in production. It will provide consultancy for the provincial People’s Committee to do the planning work for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2045. At the same time, it will continue accelerating administrative reform and the application of information technology to create the most favorable conditions for people and businesses,” Dien said.

The department will continue its consultancy for the provincial People’s Committee to improve investment attraction policies and facilitate investment in the province, and renovate the interaction between local authorities and the business community for higher efficiency.
