Mao Khe Coal accelerates production

Completing nine-month target

Based on the plan assigned by Vinacomin, the Mao Khe Coal Company has developed a production management plan to increase underground coal production by 150,000 tonnes, and maintain operations of 12 mining workshops and three excavation workshops.

The company adopted a number of solutions to improve the quality of raw coal, implemented plans to make full use of various types of commercial fine coals to increase labor productivity and reduce resource loss, and created coal supplies for processing and sales of non-coal products according to the 2022 plan.

The company has also applied various mechanization technologies in each production stage to reduce manual labor.

As a result, raw coal production in the third quarter reached 474,100 tonnes as planned. Coal consumption in the third quarter reached 436,766 tonnes, equivalent to 92 percent of the quarterly plan, raising the total consumption volume in the first nine months to more than 1.369 million tonnes, or 76 percent of the year’s plan. This has resulted in the company’s total revenue in the third quarter reaching VND633.34 billion, equaling 92 percent of the quarterly plan, and lifting the accumulated revenue in the first nine months to more than VND2.013 trillion, or 81 percent of the year’s plan. The average salary in the first nine months was VND17.2 million per person per month, equal to 107 percent of the annual plan.

Launching role-model campaign

In order to intensify production and business activities toward the year’s end, the Mao Khe Coal Company recently launched a 90-day peak safe production campaign.

Accordingly, the Director and Trade Union of the Mao Khe Coal Company have set the following goals for the fourth quarter: producing 560,101 tonnes of raw coal; coal consumption of 457,015 tonnes; total revenue at VND573.809 billion; and average salary of VND16.8 million per person per month.

The company will also strive to implement a campaign for high and record productivity, promote technical innovation initiatives, improve the working, accommodation, travel and health care conditions for employees, strengthen the anti-corruption action programs and practice thrift and waste combat in production, and be attentive to employee difficulties – all in order to stabilize production and business and develop harmonious relations in the company.

As part of the campaign, the company will also organize safety training, and deploy the production plan in the fourth quarter with risk forecasting and solutions to ensure safety in production.
