Manufacturing technology expo to attract over 10,000 participants

Marking its 10th year in Vietnam, representatives of over 200 brands from 20 countries will meet up with prospective customers and partners. According to the organizers, participants are seeking new solutions, suppliers, and knowledge from the show’s content and on-site seminars and activities.

The goal of VME18 is to provide answers for the need to reform and improve production processes. The Vietnam Manufacturing Expo is Vietnam’s leading exhibition of machine tools for mold and die making and injection technologies for plastics manufacturing. The show targets makers of molds, auto parts, plastic packaging, and many other products.

Suttisak Wilanan, deputy managing director of VME18 organizer Reed Tradex, said, “With more than 10 years of ups and downs in Vietnam, we have seen that Vietnam has been a shining star in the region. While the world economy is growing stably, Vietnam will face more opportunities than ever in 2018. I strongly believe that the processing and manufacturing sector will receive the largest foreign investment capital in 2018.”

This year, Reed Tradex continues to strengthen its cooperation with leading trade unions and associations to create a solid and extensive knowledge base for Vietnamese industrialists and engineers at the VME18 Forum, with the participation of experts from the Vietnam Association of Mechanical Industry (VAMI).

Exhibits will include such subject fields as machine tools, EDM machines, molds and dyes, metal sheetworking, gear cutting machines, metallurgy, assembly automation, pumps and valves, welding technology, wire, tube and cable technology, surface treatment, and more.

Attractions at the expo include the “Welding Competition with HwC” pitting Vietnamese welders against each other, and Robot Dancing, showcasing advancements in robotics by leading technology providers.
