ICAEW awards qualification and certificate to nearly 200 members and students in Vietnam

(VEN) - Recently, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) held a ceremony to award the Chartered Accountants - ACA qualification to 13 members, CFAB certificates to 155 students and 26 BFP designation in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

In order to receive the world's leading prestigious professional qualification in the field of finance - accounting, become an ICAEW member with the title of ICAEW Chartered Accountant, these 13 finances - accounting professionals had to go through a journey to meet the requirements of professional knowledge, specialized skills, professional ethics, and work experience.

In addition, ICAEW also awarded the International Certificate in Finance, Accounting and Business (ICAEW CFAB) to 155 students in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City who completed the program in 2021 and 2022, increasing the number of students. The number of young personnel who have achieved this prestigious international certificate of ICAEW in Vietnam has increased to nearly 400 people. This is a human resource that is highly appreciated by major employers in Vietnam and enjoys many preferential policies for recruitment. More importantly, the ICAEW CFAB certification lays the groundwork for students to continue to complete the ICAEW ACA program and therefore earn the highly prestigious ICAEW Chartered Accountant.

This is the first year that ICAEW has awarded the Business and Finance Professional (BFP), an internationally recognized professional designation from one of the world's leading professional body, to 26 experts in Vietnam.

At the ceremony, ICAEW honored 10 outstanding CFABers in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City who achieved impressively high scores in international exams. In addition, the series of events also welcomes 16 businesses to become CAEW Authorized Training Employer (ATEs) in 2021 and 2022 in Vietnam.

During the award ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City, the British Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Oliver Todd congratulated all ICAEW Vietnam members and students on their success. The Consul General also said that this year, the UK and Vietnam will celebrate the 12th anniversary of the UK-Vietnam Strategic Partnership and next year, the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the UK and Vietnam.

“Education is a key pillar of the partnership, which strengthens cultural, diplomatic and business relations between Vietnam and the UK as always. And we are committed to continuing to foster international collaboration between our two nations by bringing high-quality education providers to Vietnam.” Oliver claimed that international education is essential in enabling the graduates of today to thrive in the modern digital age and to develop genuinely global perspectives. “I am extremely proud of British education and skills and the UK's world-class reputation in many areas and particularly in accounting, finance and business.”
