Hau Giang’s industry promotion in progress

(VEN) - The Hau Giang Industry Promotion Center implemented more than 60 percent of its annual local industry promotion plan and more than 80 percent of its annual national industry promotion plan as of September, and is set to complete its annual industry promotion program ahead of schedule.

According to the Hau Giang Department of Industry and Trade, 17 industry promotion projects were approved with a total funding of VND3.13 billion, including 1.55 billion in national industry promotion funding for 4 projects.

The Hau Giang Industry Promotion Center had implemented one outstanding VND32.41 million rural industrial product vote and one VND39.8 million training course for provincial industry promotion staff by September. It also hosted the Mekong Delta Industry and Trade Fair – Hau Giang 2015 with a total funding of VND1 billion from national industry promotion funding.

In addition, the center has also conducted a range of consultancy services related to rural electrification including research, design, construction and surveillance of power transformers.

These achievements have resulted from continual efforts by provincial industry promotion staff to overcome difficulties arising from the implementation of industry promotion projects. Three local industry promotion projects were postponed to the next year due to a lack of corresponding capital.

To fulfill the annual industry promotion plans, the Hau Giang Department of Industry and Trade asked the Hau Giang Industry Promotion Center to strengthen local industry promotion management and to resolve issues with rural industrial bases during the deployment of industry promotion projects.

In addition, the center was also asked to consult and guide rural industrial bases on industry promotion regulations, support industry promotion projects with competitive advantages, combine industry promotion programs with others for more funding and providing vocational training on market and corporate demands to ensure trainees of being employed after taking the course.

The Hau Giang Industry Promotion Center has submitted the national industry promotion plan for 2016 with a total funding of VND790 million for one vocational training project and three advanced technology and equipment application projects.
