Hanoi Emotion tour introduced

(VEN) - The Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has launched the Hanoi Emotion tour as part of the capital’s push to promote tourism development based on local potential.

The tour focuses on exploiting the capital’s unique values containing in local landscapes, religious works and beliefs, revolutionary historical sites, architecture and art, villages, traditional crafts, delicacies and drinks.

According to Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Do Dinh Hong, this tour is considered as a spearhead, paving the way for further research and development of other products for specific markets. If the tour proves successful in attracting tourists from Ho Chi Minh and Da Nang cities, it will be promoted to international potential markets.

The goal of the program is attracting a large number of people throughout the country, especially tourist areas in center and south including Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City.

The four-day and three-night tour which is organized by Hanoitourist to take tourists from Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh cities to Hanoi and Ninh Binh where they will be able to visit the ceramic road, Long Bien Bridge, Bat Trang Pottery Village, Hoan Kiem Lake, the Old Quarter, Van Phuc Silk Village and several destinations in Ba Vi District. The tour price for tourists from Da Nang is VND5.1 million and from Ho Chi Minh City is VND6.2 million.

Hanoi has been rated as one of favorite destinations in Asia, with increased tourist numbers over years. Last year, it welcomed 3.3 million international visitors and 16.5 million domestic tourists.

During the Reunification Day and the International Labor Day, the capital welcomed more than 200,000 tourists including 42,000 international visitors, a 14 percent increase over the same period last year. Domestic tourists also increased by 11 percent. Tourism revenue reached VND646 billion, a 14 percent increase.

The capital will continue providing incentives for tourism development to encourage travel companies to develop more market specific tours including exemptions of land or water surface rents and taxes and streamlined administrative procedures.

Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Do Dinh Hong said, “The department will increase the dialogue with business to improve tour attractiveness, standardize tourism databases and further promote tourism products and services to tourists.
