Ford Vietnam delivers all-time record monthly sales performance

(VEN) - Ford Vietnam announced an all-time record monthly performance with September retail sales increasing 36 percent year-over-year to 1,888 units.

The record month also capped off a strong quarterly performance in Vietnam with third quarter sales rising 17 percent from a year ago to 4,646 units.

The EcoSport, Ranger and Transit nameplates helped drive the record September sales as each nameplate delivered an all-time best monthly performance.

Year-to-date sales have risen 47 percent to 13,598 units, making Ford one of the fastest growing automotive brands in Vietnamand keeping the company on track for record full-year sales.

“Our momentum and record sales are being driven by our segment-leading global Ford vehicles – particularly the Ranger, EcoSport and Transit –which continue to widen their appeal to more and more customers across the country,” said Pham Van Dung, managing director, Ford Vietnam.

The Transit delivered another record month in September with retail sales increasing 36 percent to460 units,as business owners and operators across a range of industries continue to appreciate the durability, versatility and value proposition that this high-quality commercial vehicle delivers.

Year-to-date Transit sales have increased 49 percent to 3,814 units, as it continues to be the best-selling vehicle in Vietnam’s commercial van and bus segment.

The Ranger delivered retail sales that soar 79 percent year-over-year to 822 units, as customer deliveries of the new Ranger kicked off in September.

September sales of the EcoSport compact SUVincreased 82 percent year-over-year to 422 units – its best monthly performance in Vietnam. This helped drive its third quarter sales up 43 percent to its best-ever quarterly performance of 1,097 units.

In September, Ford also received the Labor Order Award from the Vietnam Government for the second time, in recognition of its business performance and overall contributions to the community.
