Countdown for opening Deutsches Haus Ho Chi Minh City

Deutsches Haus Ho Chi Minh City, an award-winning, pioneering, premium International Grade A+ office-tower, is strategically located on the corner of Le Duan Boulevard and Le Van Huu Street in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City.

The 25-storey building consists of approximately 40,000 square meters GFA of prime office real estate including retail areas, a multifunctional exhibition, event- and conference area and restaurant areas with an outdoor terrace.

On November 1, 2016, Deutsches Haus Ho Chi Minh City celebrated its official topping out ceremony, which was witnessed by the former Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs and new President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Dr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier, who highlighted, “Deutsches Haus Ho Chi Minh City is the best and most obvious example of reliable relations between Germany and Vietnam” and evaluated the project “as evidence that Germany wants to accompany the opening and modernization of Vietnam in the long term.”

The countdown to the opening of Deutsches Haus Ho Chi Minh City has begun, which is due to be completed by the end of August 2017 and the entire team of Deutsches Haus Ho Chi Minh City is working at full speed on the final stages of the development of the building.

The construction of the building is progressing on schedule, so that in September 2017 the soft opening will be held and the first tenants will move in on September 1, 2017. By the end of 2017 the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany will also relocate to Deutsches Haus Ho Chi Minh City.

The grand opening ceremony of the building is anticipated to be in the first quarter of 2018, since the elections to the 19th German Bundestag are taking place on September 24, 2017 and the new Bundestag will not be constituted until the end of October 2017. As follows a trip from the President, the Chancellor or the Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany to Vietnam is therefore only possible in the first quarter of 2018.
