Consumer goods expo Ambiente 2018 a grand success

The five-day (Feb 9-13) in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, attracted the participation of 4,441 exhibitors from 89 countries and 134,600 visitors from 168 countries, opening up new opportunities and business trends.

The fair, which attracts important buyers from around the world, has become a trendy trading platform and showcase for innovative consumer goods. Its unique product diversity has earned it unrivalled global prestige, and it has always delivered value to both exhibitors and visitors.

A massive exhibition space of 308,000 square meters hosted a very wide range of products including dining and cooking ware, other household goods, gift items, jewellery, fashion accessories, interior decoration items, furnishing accessories. These were displayed in three main areas: Dining, Giving and Living.

This year, after hosts Germany, the top ten visitor nations were Italy, China, France, the United States, the UK, the Netherlands, Spain, Turkey, Korea and Switzerland. Satisfaction ratings among visitors remained stable at an extremely high level of 96 per cent. Above-average growth in visitors’ numbers was recorded from China, Korea, Russia, the North African countries, South Africa, all of South America, Turkey, Lebanon and Cyprus.

Detlef Braun, Member of the Executive Board of Messe Frankfurt GmbH, said: “Every February, the international consumer goods industry receives directions from here for the entire year. This is impressively borne out by the number of orders and the quality of German and international buyers.”

As a regular Ambiente participant for many years, Vietnamese pavilions have always leave their mark in Ambiente, attracting buyers from many countries. Vietnam has earned itself a brand recognition at the fair with beautifully designed products of high quality. Ambiente 2018 attracted the participation of 65 Vietnamese companies including famous names like Minh Long I, Green Living, Thien Thuong, Lacquerworld, Artex Saigon, Doan Potters, Decor Viet, Hac Vietnam, Viet Garden, Hanoi Design Center. Manh Dan, Hong Ha, Bac Ninh Handicrafts Production and Import-Export company, and the Duc Thanh Wood Processing Company.

Poised to continue its successful run for many years, Ambiente 2019 will return for 5 days, from February 8-12, with India as the new partner country.
