Weldtec General Director Nguyen Nham said that businesses previously participated in exhibitions to promote sales. However its trend has changed after businesses have seen participation in trade fairs as an ideal destination to share experience and seek more new partners.
Coming to this year’s Manufacturing Expo, Weldtec will have two booths with advanced equipment such as welding robots, CNC machining center and knife tools.
Nham said that the welding sector has played an important role in infrastructure development such as shipbuilding, road and bridge building, and thermal power, hydropower and cement plant construction. In particular, Vietnamese welders have been highly appreciated by skill and experience. Therefore, this will be a key sector in the integration period.
The company has actively updated new technology equipment from developed countries and sent engineers abroad to improve professional skills. Weldtec has promoted cooperation with prestigious manufacturers in the world to provide equipment and materials with the best quality for partners such as the US’s Lincoln Electric and Hypertherm, Japan’s Panasonic, Yamazaki Mazak, NT Tool and Hitachi, Italy’s CEA and Ficep, Austria’s Boher Welding and the Republic of Korea’s UGINT.
The company has also provided equipment and materials for big projects such as Pha Lai, Uong Bi, Phu My and Vung Ang thermal power plants, Yali, Son La and Lai Chau hydropower plants, But Son, Hoang Thach and Nghi Son cement plants, Dung Quat and Nghi Son refinery plants. The company’s products have also been exported to Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Egypt. Weldtec currently has five offices, two stores and one center throughout the country.
Weldtec’s market share has accounted for around 15 percent of Vietnam’s total revenues valued at US$80-90 million a year in its sector. The company has provided not only raw products but also robots for the market.
“Weldtec is focusing on the domestic market. We have invested in the construction of equipment and spare part workshop. These products will help domestic manufacturers improve competitiveness,” Nguyen Nham said.
Thanks to right directions and greater efforts, Weldtec has become one of leading engineering units, especially for welding./.
