A trade fair opened in the northern province of Vinh Phuc on June 2 to introduce food specialities from more than 20 provinces and cities located in the Red River Delta region.

Visitors to the fair will have the chance to enjoy special local foods and learn about how these foods are made.
In addition to local cuisine, the fair also features handicrafts, industrial and consumer products, construction materials, flowers and ornamental trees displayed at some 170 booths.
From the host province of Vinh Phuc, more than 50 booths are displaying large posters of famous scenic spots such as Tay Thien, Tam Dao, Dai Lai and the Dong Dau archaeological site.
On display in these booths are local products such as Trieu De rattan and bamboo furniture, Huong Canh ceramics, Hai Luu marble sculptures, as well as special foods such as Tam Dao chayote and Dam Vac fish.
The fair, which will last until June 9, is organised to honour cuisine in the Red River Delta and promote tourism ties between localities in the region./.
