This year, the IPC has six local industry promotion projects worth VND900 million and two national industry promotion projects with a total investment of VND550 million.

As of June, it has cooperated with related partners to implement six local industry promotion plans related to machinery and equipment, training, package designing and consultancy, organizing local industry promotion staff, constructing waste treatment systems and trade promotion. It has supported local industrial bases to participate in trade fairs in Cambodia and Ca Mau and Vinh Long provinces in Vietnam.

Over the first half of the year, the IPC has completed three out of five energy efficient and cleaner production projects. Particularly, the project to raise awareness among the public in terms of energy-savings in 10 communes of the province yielded positive results. In addition, it has coordinated with the Phong Dinh Construction and Trading Co., Ltd. to deploy a national industry promotion project for cement-based unbaked-brick production, and provided consultancy for 36 industrial constructions worth VND352 million.

The IPC’s staff members have positively participated in industry promotion projects which have achieved remarkable results and proved their adaptability. However, some projects have lagged behind due to failures in cooperation with related partners or a lack of industry promotion-related legal documents.

These obstacles have deterred the implementation of several industry promotion projects in the first half of the year, which have interrupted preparations. Moreover, the number of industry promotion staff in the province remains insufficient implement its industry promotion projects.

The IPC has been loaded with industry promotion tasks to be implemented for the second half of the year including support for machinery, equipment and construction of waste treatment systems at the Phuoc Khang Soy Sauce Production Base, 36 Mechanical Base, Ba Khanh Rice Noodles Production Base, and Sao Viet, Nhat Quynh and On Oanh companies, organizing three training courses for industry promotion staff and collaborators and business start-up and management.

To successfully implement industry promotion tasks for the second half of the year, the IPC will focus on assignment of specific tasks to its relevant units, improving working efficiency, monitoring currently operational industry promotion projects, quickly removing obstacles arising from project deployment and organizing long and short-term training courses for its industry promotion staff.
