(VEN) - The Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin) said that its production went smooth this October due to favorable weather, while sales also increased.
Vinacomin produced 3.7 million tonnes of raw coal in October and sold 2.7 million tonnes, including almost 800,000 tonnes abroad, and 34.8 million tonnes and 30.9 million tonnes in the first ten months of this year, respectively.
The group expected to export 3.5 million tonnes in the last quarter of the year as a result of the reduction of export tariffs from 13 to 10 percent as of September 1, 2013.
It also expected that coal sales would amount to 39 million tonnes by the end of the year, which is as much as in 2012./.
