For Bitel, it won its first international award after four years of presence and two years of operation in Peru with this year’s IBA. Bitel’s internet school project helped the brand win a Silver Award in the Corporate Social Responsibility Programme of the Year - in the Americas category.
The awards are a strong affirmation of the value of internet school programme and social benefits for Peruvians brought about by Bitel. It is also considered a tremendous encouragement after its efforts to assert a position in this difficult market.
Finally, Viettel’s brand in Burundi Lumitel was recognised with a Silver Award in the IBA’s Startup of the Year - Business Services Industries category. This is also the first international award of Lumitel.
Lumitel had different ways in the new market, such as building quality infrastructure networks over a short time, comprehensively applying IT for sale management and registration of smartphone subscribers and actively building distribution channels to the most remote regions.
