Vietnam’s improved business climate highlighted

President of the Nitori Holdings Co, Ltd.Akio Nitori cited Vietnam as one of the nations having bright prospects for an improved investment and business climate at the 17th Japan Corporate Governance Forum held on November 10-11 in Tokyo, Japan.

Despite having no showrooms in Vietnam due to highly priced products, he noted, adding that the exponential growth of the Vietnamese market along with the larger number of high-income earners would enable his company’s products have easier access to the giant market.

To prepare for the sales plan in Vietnam, the company has provided two-year training programmes for Vietnamese guest workers in Japan so that they can work in the company’s factories in Vietnam after their graduation.

As of 2015, Nitori will support 50 Vietnamese students studying in Japan to help them become key staff in the coming time.

FPT Group Chairman Truong Gia Binh who represented Vietnam at the event described Japan as a highly lucrative market for Vietnamese information technology (IT) engineers as the country changes its software system every ten years that need qualified IT workers.

Vietnam should seize this opportunity to master technologies as a contribution to developing the country’s software industry./.
