Vietnamese film honored at Top Shorts festival

Vietnamese film ‘Thu Thuy – Mosaic Dreams’, directed by Nguyen Nghiem Nhan, has won two awards at the Top Shorts – Online Film Festival for April.

The documentary was voted as the best trailer, meanwhile, painter Nguyen Thu Thuy, who is the main character in the film, was honored with the ‘Inspiring Woman in a film’ award.

The film features the design ideas and images of Vietnamese and international artists, who have contributed to the Ceramic Road along the Red River dyke in Hanoi, the magnificent scene of the inauguration ceremony of the Ceramic Road and the event held for receiving the Guinness record for the Ceramic Road.

In addition, the film features many beautiful scenes and documents highlighting the beauty of Vietnamese ceramic art through the creative and new art works of painter Nguyen Thu Thuy and her partners.

The Top Shorts is the world's largest online film festival, held every year in Los Angeles, and attracts international entries of short films in different categories with run-times of less than 40 minutes. Each month the festival will honor excellent films in various categories.
