Shankar's International Dolls Museum in Delhi, India has inaugurated a section of the museum devoted specifically to Vietnamese dolls, reports Vietnam Ambassador to India Ton Sinh Thanh.
The museum houses one of the largest collections of dolls in the globe—over 6,500 from across 85 countries and is one of the must-see attractions in Delhi, said Ambassador Thanh.
It’s is a great honour for me personally to have presided over the inauguration ceremony on October 21 and for Vietnam to have a section of the museum dedicated to exhibiting the country’s dolls.
On display, said the Ambassador, are a wide variety of 99 dolls with some wearing Ao Dai, others garbed in traditional dress of ethnic groups, while still others are water puppetry dolls or those playing folk games./.
