On display are numerous publications and photos introducing Vietnam’s landscapes and destinations, as well as products imbued with national cultural identities such as Ao Dai, non la (conical hats) and wooden bracelets.

Visitors to Vietnam’s booths also have the chance to taste traditional Vietnamese dishes including nem ran (fried spring roll) and coffee, as well as enjoy traditional art performances.

Speaking at the festival, Vietnamese Ambassador to Egypt Tran Thanh Cong said that the event offered an opportunity for the Embassy to promote the image of the land and people of Vietnam to Egyptian people.

This year’s Saika Festival has attracted the participation of over 20 countries worldwide, including Russia, the US, Japan, the Republic of Korea, China, Mexico, Thailand and Vietnam.

The annual event aims to promote cultural exchanges and cooperation, as well as enhance the mutual understandings between Egypt and countries that have diplomatic missions in Cairo.
