Vietnam to take part in third Eastern Economic Forum

A Vietnamese delegation led by Nguyen Van Binh, head of the Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission, will participate in the third Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok city, Russia.

The forum will take place on September 6-7 on Russky Island in Vladivostok in accordance with Decree No. 250 of the Russian President issued on May 19, 2015.

Nguyen Van Binh, who is also a Politburo member and Secretary of the Party Central Committee, will join discussions on international and economic cooperation in the Eastern region.

The forum is held annually with the aim of promoting economic development in the Eastern region along with expanding international cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region.

Last year, the second Eastern Economic Forum was held on September 2-3, attracting nearly 2,500 delegates from Australia, China, India, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, the US and Vietnam.
