Linh will play Sichhya Shrestha, also of Nepal, today.
Her teammate Trần Thị Phương Thúy also earned a berth in the last-eight after beating Maisa Fathuhulla Ismail of Moldova 21-15, 21-10. She will meet Nepalese Megha Chand next.
On the men’s side, Việt Nam has two representatives in the quarter-finals.
No 6 seed Phạm Cao Cường will play Mohammad Salman Khan of Bangladesh while No 7 Lê Đức Phát faces Tushar Krishna Roy from Bangladesh.
