Hanoi’s Do Thi Anh has become the fourth Vietnamese fencer to qualify for the upcoming Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Ping had been eligible for Rio after beating Anh in the decisive match for the women’s foil Olympic ticket at the Asia-Oceania zonal qualification tournament in Wuxi, China.
Earlier, Ping had played for the Chinese national team, therefore her results for New Zealand could not be calculated for Olympic berth allocation.
The good news has brought fencing on par with weightlifting as the two sports with the most Vietnamese Olympians - four each.
The qualified fencers are Nguyen Thi Le Dung and Vu Thanh An (sabre), Nguyen Thi Nhu Hoa (epee) and Do Thi Anh (foil), all from Hanoi.
Vietnam has booked 20 Rio Olympic berths so far: two in badminton, one in rowing, one in swimming, two in shooting, four in fencing, one in athletics, two in wrestling, two in gymnastics, four in weightlifting and one in judo./.
