The European country’s major exports to Vietnam included sound and image recording equipment and television sets worth over 64.78 million USD, along with optical, movie and surgery equipment, glass and crystal, plastics, military equipment, seedlings, pharmaceuticals, medicinal herbs and industrial plants.
Meanwhile, Vietnam exported audio-visual equipment valued at over 365.5 million USD, and footwear and similar products worth 229.8 million USD to the Czech Republic. Vietnamese rubber, inorganic chemical compound, leather, garment accessories, apparel, mechanical equipment, wooden furniture, farm produce and seafood were also shipped to the country. However, the trade revenue has yet to match economic potential and market demand of the two countries, the office said. In 2017, the two-way trade reached 1.12 billion USD.
