The 2016 Vietnam CEO Forum, themed “Linking Viet Strengths—Time to Walk the Talk,” opened in Ho Chi Minh City on September 30, attracting nearly 1,000 leading domestic entrepreneurs.

In his opening remarks, Dinh La Thang, Secretary of the municipal Party Committee, urged the business community to stay united, sharing experience and opportunities to take the country forward, adding that they should be the smartest advisors to the authorities and the State on terms of policymaking and the employment of human resources.
Nguyen Thu Phong, Chairman of the Young Business People’s Association of Ho Chi Minh City, said entrepreneurs should actively link up and change their way of thinking to broaden their vision and create a win–win scenario for all stakeholders.
Engaging in a dialogue with the CEO’s, Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong answered queries about the State’s policies towards businesses and vowed to continue delivering on commitments to investors and businesses operating in the city.
Participants joined thematic discussions on building strategic ties towards joining the global supply chain, contributing to enhancing national internal power and the country’s sustainable development.
The Vietnam CEO Forum was first held in 2012 and since then has become an annual event, providing a venue for those in business circles to connect with each other and with policymakers./.
