Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang

“Given the continued spread of the Covid-19 epidemic across the globe, causing severe damage to almost every country, Vietnam as a responsible member of the international community has cooperated with other countries and organizations, especially ASEAN and UN organizations. It has participated in many exchange mechanisms in different forms and at different levels such as international and regional conferences, and attended high-level bilateral and multilateral audio conferences.”

Hang said Vietnam recently held discussions with the US, Japan, the RoK, India, Australia, and New Zealand on developments of Covid-19 in their countries, the region and the world, sharing experience in controlling the pandemic, cooperating to protect citizens, providing medical supplies and humanitarian aid, maintaining transportation and trade, and creating the best possible conditions for post-pandemic economic recovery.

Vietnam believes that through cooperation and discussion mechanisms, in a constructive and responsible spirit, the world will soon defeat the pandemic and restore economic growth.
