In recent years, the Vietnamese economy has shown very positive performance, making Vietnam one of the most dynamic countries in South East Asia in attracting foreign direct investment (FDI). Richard said, ‘We truly believe that Vietnam is a great place to invest in and we want to build up strong, long-term business relationships with our clients and business partners by being a socially responsible company, bringing high technology into Vietnam and providing the best service.’

In 2009, Tebodin started its operation in Vietnam. Richard said, ‘Since our establishment in Vietnam, our company has continued to grow and today we have 170 staff members. Our extensive worldwide network of around 50 offices allows us to deliver to clients the best possible solutions and practical expertise from a broad range of services in order to meet, and exceed, their expectations.’

In Vietnam, Tebodin provides engineering and project management services to both local, and large multinational companies which are active primarily in the health and nutrition, manufacturing, and oil and gas industries. ‘We are now also expanding the business into new segments, such as data centers, and power generation,’ Richard said. ‘We are proud to serve a significant number of leading clients in their markets, such as Coca-Cola, AB Inbev, Unilever, Heineken, and Schneider Electric. Partnering and ‘one common goal’ form the basis for the successful execution of projects. It’s our general experience that clients appreciate the convenience of a local partner, with local know-how, a broad outlook, and international knowledge and expertise.’

Tebodin gives the highest priority to safety. The aim is to ensure a safe working environment for all the people and communities involved in projects. Richard said that excellent results on safety had been achieved, thanks to the full dedication of staff, and great cooperation with clients and partners. ‘For example, we have just completed a large-scale, modern, greenfield manufacturing plant for Gentherm Corporation, an American group producing seating climate control systems for the automotive industry. During this project we achieved 600,000 hours without any lost-time injury during the construction phase.’

‘We have noticed that clients are becoming increasingly interested in sustainable buildings with international labels and clean production. In 2012, we started offering ‘Green Building’ design and executed some interesting projects. We are able to provide consultancy and implement green building standards throughout the building design phase. These measures reduce construction activity pollution, power consumption, as well as potable water consumption, ensuring a healthy indoor working environment, significantly contributing to the sustainable development of our industry in Vietnam,’ Richard said.

Tebodin is one of the world’s leading international multidisciplinary consulting and engineering companies. Part of the international engineering and services group, Bilfinger, Tebodin is active in 24 countries throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
