Vietfood & Beverage – ProPack 2017: Korean organic products make an impression

(VEN) - The Korean Pavilion turned out to be a major attraction at the “Vietfood & Beverage – ProPack 2017” exhibition.  

As many 70 booths at the exhibition were occupied by businesses from the Korea Association of Agricultural Producers (GBSA); The Kimchi Association (Wikim); financial services and agricultural insurance (APFS) and other Korean enterprises displaying their prominent products like seaweed, red ginseng, Ganoderma lucidum and many other canned foods.

Among these, six companies stood out: Haesong KNS, Bifico, Papax. Koreab, Sandol Food, Pyeongchang Chocolate and Medience. These firms specialize in producing and trading organic products in cosmetics and healthcare, like Boletus edulis, medicinal wine, yogurt for weight loss, and ginseng.

Visitors were impressed by the booth’s decoration and quality of the products introduced at this exhibition.

The representatives of the six companies said that through this exhibition, they wanted to promote high quality, safe and healthy products to Vietnamese consumers. They saw Vietnam as a strategic market with significant potential that they will seek to tap in the future.

The 21st VietFood, Beverage and Professional Packing Machines (VietFood & Beverage – ProPack) was held at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), 799 Nguyen Van Linh Street, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City, from 9th to 12th August 2017. Over 500 companies from 20 countries participated in the show, occupying nearly 600 booths.

The series of events were a significant trade promotion with participation of the two important sectors Food and Beverage, including kinds of products that were displayed: Food (Agricultural, Local, Aqua-Sea Products); Beverage; Nutrition - Pharmaceutical food; materials and ingredients; Machines and Equipment for Packing and Food Preservation; and Franchise.
