The 2017 Vietbuild International Expo kicked off in Hanoi on March 15, featuring 1,700 booths showcasing the latest products and services of the construction industry.
The expo featured 318 domestic businesses and joint ventures plus 141 foreign firms and groups from the Republic of Korea, Japan, Germany, Singapore, the US, and France who are working in fields such as construction, building materials, architecture, real estate and interior - exterior decoration.
Two seminars on building materials will also be held under the framework of the event.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Construction, Bui Pham Khanh said that the rapid development of urbanisation has boosted the real estate market and attracted the interest of domestic and foreign investors.
He expressed his hope that the expo would help State management agencies, businesses and customers keep updated on current trends and information in the construction industry, while providing a venue for Vietnamese investors and contractors to share their working experience with their international colleagues.
According to Chairman of Vietnam National Real Estate Association, Nguyen Tran Nam, Vietbuild Expo was established as a meeting place for construction businesses at home and abroad to push trade promotion and strengthen cooperation.
The expo will run until March 19 at the National Exhibition Construction Centre, 1 Do Duc Duc street, Nam Tu Liem district.
