Vietnam boosts response to trade remedies

(VEN) - Trade remedy lawsuits are complicated due to the requirements of investigating authorities for documents, data, contracts and invoices. The Ministry of Industry and Trade has worked with various authorities, associations and businesses to boost the protection of business interests in response to other countries’ trade remedies.
Vietnam seeks to catch up with seafood export targets

Border localities asked to resume trade with China

Vietnam’s trade with Africa: Potential and challenges

(VEN) - Two-way trade between Vietnam and Africa surged 250 percent to US$6.6 billion in 2018 from US$2.52 billion in 2010, due to their complementary import and export structures. Vietnam exports mobile phones and components, computers and components, textiles, footwear, rice, coffee, pepper, coconut copra, cashews, seafood, and building materials, which have attracted buyers in Africa, especially in such big markets as South Africa, Egypt, Ghana, Algeria, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, and Cameroon.
Vietnam strives for added rice export value

Coffee sector wakes up to value of processed, organic brands

(VEN) - Despite an average drop of 20 percent in coffee export prices and revenue, the prices of organic and processed coffee are still sustainable and there’s even a shortage of supplies for export. To offset the drop in green coffee export prices, Vietnam’s coffee sector is targeting development of high quality brands. Vietnam Economic News’ Phuong Lan spoke about this shift with the Chairman of the Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association (Vicofa) Luong Van Tu.
