(VEN) - In the first eight months of this year, Vietnam exported 4.54 million tonnes of rice worth almost US$2 billion, up 0.3 percent in volume and down 14.9 percent in price compared to the same period last year, respectively, according to the Agro Processing and Market Development Authority under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. The rice industry needs to increase high quality rice exports to improve its export value.
Coffee exports down in nine months

Vietnam’s coffee exports in the first nine months of this year fell by 13.3 percent in volume to 1.25 million tonnes and 21.9 percent in value to 2.15 billion USD compared with the same period of last year.
Exports to the US: Growth and an optimistic outlook

(VEN) - In the first seven months of 2019, Vietnam-US trade reached US$41.14 billion (up 24 percent from the same period in 2018), including US$32.99 billion worth of Vietnamese exports (up 27.7 percent) and US$8.15 billion worth of US exports (up 11.2 percent). In the seven months, Vietnam exported US$24.83 billion more than it imported from the US, up 34.2 percent from the same time in 2018.
