(VEN) - have recorded up to 50 percent increases in tourist numbers compared to last year’s April 30-May 1 national holiday period.

The holiday will last for six days this year and so many families have made plans to travel very early. For example, Da Nang is one of the most attractive destinations as it will host an international firework competition.

In addition to domestic tours, many families have also selected VND7-20 million tours abroad to US, the Republic of Korea, Japan, Singapore, Laos and Cambodia.

Hanoitourist, for example, has all its tours fully booked for the Reunification Day and International Labor Day, with most preferable tours to Hanoi-Nha Trang-Vinpearl Land-Doc Let, Hanoi-Sa Pa-Ham Rong tourist area-Love Waterfall-Mau Temple-Thuong Temple, France-Switzerland-Austria-Hungary and France-Belgium-the Netherlands-Germany.

Head of Hanoitourist’s Domestic Tour Division Nguyen Ngoc Anh said, “We have anticipated up to 50 percent increases in tourist numbers for this year’s holiday period, and we have managed to maintain stable tour prices despite the increases.”
According to Fiditour Deputy General Director Dang Trung Nghia, travelers are increasingly keen on only booking tickets and hotels, arranging everything themselves.
Head of Event Organization Division of the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Promotion Center Tran Le Linh Anh said, “Ho Chi Minh City held a Tourism Day on Impressions of World Heritage in Vietnam and attracted 72 participants from provinces and cities. On this occasion, many discount tours have been offered, with the intention of recording a 10 percent increase in tourist numbers during the April 30-May 1 break/.
