In 2015, Vietnam National Coal & Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited (Vinacomin) attempted to overcome its difficulties, stabilize production and ensure the employment and income of its workers.

By the end of 2015, Vinacomin had completed its major production and business targets as planned. In particular, raw coal production reached 37.4 million tons, and coal sales 35.7 million tons. Revenue from the whole group reached 105,494 billion VND, equivalent to 103% compared to the same period in 2014.

According to forecasts, 2016 will be a difficult year, but Vinacomin is determined to realize its overall objectives for the year, including: continuing stable production; a reasonable level of imports; meeting the needs for coal in the economy; sustainable development in the coal, mineral and electricity industries, as well as in industrial sectors and services; continuing to improve the organizational structure, with appropriate management mechanisms to enable a significant step forward in technological innovation; cost savings; improving quality, productivity and competitiveness of products to ensure efficient, and sustainable growth; while constantly improving wages, working conditions and the benefits of workers, particularly miners.

In 2016, Vinacomin has targeted: 39.87 million tons of of raw coal production and 38 million tons in sales; a maintained growth rate in mineral, electrical, mechanical and chemical products; revenue of 110,016 billion VND; and an average salary of 9.1 million VND per person, per month./.
