The 21st Vietfood & Beverage - Propack Boosting trade opportunities

(VEN) - Around 450 enterprises from 18 countries across the world will gather at the 21st VietFood, Beverage and Professional Packing Machines (VietFood & Beverage – ProPack) which will take place at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center, Ho Chi Minh City, from August 9-12, 2017.  

Series of events have been a significant trade promotion with participations of the two important sectors - food and beverage, including five products that will be displayed (food, agricultural, local, aqua-sea products; beverage; nutrition, pharmaceutical food; materials and ingredients); machines and equipment, packing and food preservation; and franchise. Sideline events will be held in collaborations with associations (Vietnam Association of Retails; HoChiMinh Food and Foodstuff Association; Vietnam Beverage Association; Young Business Association; Vietnam Association of Fost and HoChiMinh Business Association).

The exhibition has brought in huge commercial values in more than 20 years and it has been ongoing with strong supports of both local and international businesses. The organizer reveals about 450 businesses from 18 countries and territories will be playing at the exhibition including the pavilions from India, Chinese Taipei, Poland, Malaysia, Thailand, the Republic of Korea, China and Vietnam.

The event highlights the scale participations of annual players such as the Republic of Korea, Thailand, Poland, Chinese Taipei and the first-experience participants such as Czech Republic, UAE, Brazil, France and Arab whose products and new innovations are greatly interested by visitors and businesses that shows Vietnam has been an emerging market, changing day-by-day to adapt to increasing demands.

In 2016, Poland showcased at a scale of 200 square meters for agricultural products, apple and livestock. Poland’s businesses continued to present their products at Vietfood & Beverage – Propack in Hanoi (November 2016) and the third time in Ho Chi Minh City.

Both Poland’s agricultural products and local companies’ products such as rice, coffee, tea, chestnut, litchi, rambutan, pineapple are well-known to consumers around the world. In 2016, Vietnam’s agricultural, aqua and forestry products export turnovers was recorded US$32.1 billion, among which agricultural products stood half, around US$15.2 billion, particularly the example of the litchi was travelling to hard-to-carter markets America, Japan, Australia, the EU, the Republic of Korea alike showed local products were going more global.

The beverage sector of Vietnam has a steady growth in both production scale and quality, defined by well-known brands like Habeco, Sabeco, Tan Hiep Phat, A&B who are regular participants at our exhibitions, offering a ‘Drink Festival’ – a chance for businesses meet with partners and open more markets. The exhibition is also an opportunity that international brands such as Saporo, AbinBev, Vanpur, Vintage, Masfi take to introduce their products to a large increasing number of consumers.

The Propack Vietnam Pavilion is the first-time exhibition of the professional industry, an inseparable part to the food and beverage pavilion. There has been 180 companies registered for participation including India, Germany, the Czech Republic, France, Singapore and the Republic of Korea with displays of packing machines, candy making machines, cooling and preservation machines, erasers, plastics box packing machines by familiar producers like Rang Dong Plastics Company, Duy Tan Plastics Company, Solution Pack, Texyear – Taiwan.
