Thái Sơn Nam have beaten Sanest Tourist Khánh Hòa 7-2 in the last round of the National Futsal Championship to officially lift the title.

Displaying better skills, Thái Sơn Nam easily crushed their rival Sanest Tourist Khánh Hòa on Saturday.
The goals for Thái Sơn Nam were scored by Ngọc Sơn in the eighth and 39th minute, Đắc Huy in the 12th and 33rd minute, Xuân Du in the 17th minute, Trọng Luân in the 20th minute and Văn Vũ in the 35th minute.
Hải Đăng and Hồng Quý scored the two goals for Sanest Tourist Khánh Hòa.
After 18 games, Thái Sơn Nam had 45 points to take the lead and walked away with the VNĐ200 million prize (US$8,700).
Sanatech Khánh Hòa were the runners-up after beating Sài Gòn 6-2. The third place went to Hải Phương Nam Phú Nhuận who defeated Hoàng Thư Đà Nẵng 4-2.
Thái Sơn Nam have triumphed at the annual event for the seventh time.
Thái Sơn Nam will next represent Việt Nam in the AFC Futsal Club Championship 2018, while the runners-up Sanatech Khánh Hòa will compete in the AFF Futsal Club Championship 2018.
The teams ranked from first to sixth place in this year’s event will automatically enter the second leg of the National Futsal Championship next year. Other teams will have to compete in the qualifying round.
On Saturday, the Việt Nam Football Federation (VFF) officially named Miguel Rodrigo of Spain as the head coach of the national futsal team.
Rodrigo will lead the team from 2017 to 2020.
Speaking at the event, new national coach Rodrigo said that leading the Việt Nam was a huge challenge for him, and his goals were to guide Việt Nam into the top 4 in Asia and to the final round of the 2020 Futsal World Cup.
According to Lê Hoài Anh, VFF Secretary-General, Rodrigo would start coaching the Vietnam team on June 25 when the team would start preparing for the 2017 Southeast Asian Games.
