Tet trade fair highlights local specialities

The Vietnam Trade Promotion Center for Agriculture opened the Tet trade fair in Hanoi on January 18, highlighting agricultural specialities from localities across the country.

Delegates cut the ribbon to launch the fair

Nearly 200 enterprises from traditional craft villages and localities nationwide gathered at the fair showcasing 200 pavilions of agricultural, forestry and aquatic products.

Visitors can buy various kinds of agricultural products for Tet including Nhat Tan peaches and kumquats, South apricot blossoms, Chung cake, Thuan Viet chicken, Man pork, Moc Chau tea and Dien Bien rice, among others.

Director of the Vietnam Trade Promotion Center for Agriculture and head of the organising board of the trade fair Dao Van Ho said agricultural products at the trade fair are high quality products prepared in line with hygienic regulations and provided by companies and establishments with high prestige and registered trademarks.

Ho noted that the fair also aims to raise the awareness of both producers and consumers about clean and safe agricultural production, contributing to developing the supply chain of clean products.

The fair will run until January 25.
