(VEN) - The Tan Son Nhat Cargo Services Company Limited (TCS) was established based on a joint venture between the Vietnam Airlines Corporation, the Singapore Airport Terminal Services (SATS) and the Southern Airport Services Company (SASCO). Officially coming into operation on January 1 , 1997, the company has been providing air cargo services for 35 international airlines companies and hundreds of international cargo forwarding agents at the Tan Son Nhat International Airport.

Having ceaselessly invested in infrastructure, machinery and equipment to enhance operational capability, TCS currently has the ability to serve the transportation of over 350,000 tonnes of cargo each year. In 2010, 2011 and 2012, TCS inaugurated and put into operation the buildings of Tan Son Nhat International Airport’s Customs Branch, Airfreight Terminal 2, new refrigerated storage facilities and modern ULD X-ray machines to meet customer demands.
Operating in the air cargo handling industry, serving both export and import cargos at the Tan Son Nhat International Airport, TCS is required to comply with strict quality, safety and international security standards. Aware of this, TCS management and employees have concentrated on efforts to achieve specific international standards in the field of cargo handling - ISAGO and ISO 9001-2008 of the QMS organization.
TCS has invested tremendously in improving its service quality based on customer requirements. In 2013, TCS began to offer consolidation warehouse services for the Expeditors Freight Forwarding Co., Ltd (E.I), Maersk Vietnam Ltd (DAMCO) and DHL Global Forwarding Vietnam Corporation (DGF). These services have received a positive feedback from customers. “TCS launched these consolidation warehouse services with the aim to encourage the development of logistics supply chains in Vietnam, especially the air cargo handling service in SGN, and to fulfill our commitment to continually provide more value-added services for our esteemed customers. We will do all we can to support customers to promote the consolidation business,” said TCS Deputy General Director Liew Yoong Fook.
TCS has affirmed its image as a top service provider for many international airlines firms. Recently, TCS’s major customers such as Cathay Pacific Airways (Hong Kong), Korean Airlines, Asiana Airlines (Republic of Korea), United Airlines, FedEx (USA) sent letters to TCS expressing their appreciation towards the quality of TCS services. TCS wishes that its relationship with all customers will be strengthened in the years to come.
In the future, TCS will focus on many Research & Development projects to offer customers more value-added services. TCS is all about building a strong corporate culture, enhancing the spirit of solidarity and responsibility among its staff members.
