(VEN) - A new collaboration between the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and international model and fashion producer Jessica Minh Anh on a television reality show called “Jessica Minh Anh: Coming Home” is expected to contribute to the recovery of tourism after Covid-19.
Production of the 12-episode reality show is scheduled to run from late September until the end of December and will be available on television, streaming, mobile apps, social networks and other media channels both domestically and internationally. Viewers will accompany Jessica Minh Anh throughout the country to discover the mysterious and majestic beauty of Vietnam as well as the unique features of local cultural traditions.
Jessica Minh Anh has made catwalk history atop famous architectural wonders including the Eiffel Tower, London’s Tower Bridge, and Kuala Lumpur’s PETRONAS Twin Towers. She broke the record of the world’s highest fashion show on the Grand Canyon Skywalk, and was chosen to bring a positive image to the new symbol of hope and freedom of America, One World Trade Center.
In February 2020, she produced the world's first ever catwalk centered around the globally sustainable supply chain at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York with DHL Express. She has sought to inspire a new generation of leaders with her focus on reinvention, cultural integration, and technological advancement, which she shared on the TEDx stage.
Although she has studied and worked abroad for many years, the Hanoi-born star consistently seeks to contribute to her country’s development. With the tourism industry heavily affected by the pandemic, she wants to contribute to attracting and stimulating domestic tourism demand as well as advertising a Vietnam that is not only beautiful, but also rich in cultural traditions.
According to Ha Van Sieu, Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, Anh's program is in line with the focus on post-Covid-19 recovery by conveying the message that Vietnam is safe and promoting the image of sustainable and high-end Vietnamese tourism.
In addition, Jessica Minh Anh, as a world-renowned supermodel and producer of fashion events, has close relationships with major media outlets such as CNN, BBC, Fox, ABC, CBS, Telemundo, Business Insider, and The Wall Street Journal, which could help in spreading Vietnam's tourism image to high-end international tourists.
