Royal De Heus opens of its 7th factory in Vietnam

To continue long term development strategy in Vietnam, the Netherlands' Royal De Heus in mid-April opened it’s Vinh Long 2 animal feed factory in Mekong Delta, Vietnam.

This is De Heus’s second factory in the Mekong Delta and the seventh factory in Vietnam. Mr Nguyen Van Quang, Vinh Long province Chairman, Mr Simon van der Burg, the Netherlands Consul General in Ho Chi Minh city, Mr Co de Heus, CEO of Royal De Heus Group and more than 2000 invitees, including sales agents, farmers and business partners participated the opening ceremony.

This new factory is located idrectly at the Mekong river. Dedicated port facility and bulk loading station will enhance the speed and efficiency of transporting raw materials and finished products. With this strategic investment, De Heus can take advantage of the Mekong’s vital waterway transportation to serve the customers from Vietnam and neibough countries in the entire Mekong Delta.

The total investment for this project is more than USD 30 million, the first phase capacity of the new feed factory is 250.000 tons per year contributing into the total production capacity of 1 million tons per year of De Heus Vietnam and to confirm the Deu Heus position as a leading supplier of high quality feed for pigs, poultry, cattle and other ruminants in this potential market.

In his speech at the ceremony, the Netherland Consult General – Mr Simon van der Burg highly appreciated the strong development of De heus Vietnam during the passed years. During its 8 years of presence in the country, De Heus keeps continuously expand their production chains throughout the Vietnam, improve the quantiy and quality of the products and become one of fives giants – animal feed producers in Vietnam./.
