A liter of RON 92 and E5 petrol has been increased by VND612 following a joint decision made by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The price changes came into effect at 3pm on September 18
The price changes, which came into effect at 3pm on September 18, also increased prices of diesel 0.05S and kerosene by VND576 and VND513 per liter respectively while the price of a kilogram of mazut 180CST 3.5S was raised by VND297.
The two ministries confirmed that the prices are not higher than the regulated base prices: Prices of RON 92 and E5 petrol are not higher than VND17,950 and VND17,455 per liter; those of diesel 0.05S and kerosene are not over VND13,886 and VND12,799 per liter; and the price of a kilogramme of mazut 180CST 3.5S is VND9,648 at maximum.
They also announced that since the previous price cuts on September 3, the average prices of petroleum products in the world have been US$61.334 per barrel of RON 92 petrol, US$59.809 per barrel of diesel 0.05S, US$59.205 per barrel of kerosene and US$240.047 per ton of mazut 180CST 3.5S as of September 17./.
